

The Other Side part 5The Other Side part 5 "Nice and slow now." Heinrich whispered back to the corporal as they crawled threw the barren battlefield, using night as their cover. They moved past destroyed tanks and dead soldiers. Every now and then they would find a patrol of Russians that ended up dead just like the others. They quickly reached the building that the Russian was talking about. "It would be suicide going in the front way." The corporal said. Heinrich looked around. "There," He pointed "A fire escape." They quietly pulled the ladder down and climbed up. As they ascended they peered into windows. One window Heinrich smiled at what he heard "WHAThe Other Side part 5


The Other Side part 4The Other Side part 4 Heinrich looked over to his side, the corporal was still alive. The corporal looked at him and waved. Stukas flew overhead and dropped their deadly payload on the Russian tanks and the screams of burning Russian could be heard. "One hell of a fight." The corporal said, "Think they'll be back?" Heinrich asked, "Doubt it." The corporal replied. They both spun around to the staccato drone of automatic gunfire, it wasn't German, down the trench. They looked at each other then ran down the trench and came to a dead stop at the end of trench; the field HQ. There where dead Russians and Germans out side the building theyThe Other Side part 4


The Other Side part 3The Other Side part 3 Heinrich fired his rifle as fast as he could; he hit another Russian soldier. That was five. "They just keep coming!" Someone yelled in the trench. "Just hold them off, there sending a column of panzers the help us!" Another yelled. Heinrich smiled, he always loved panzer tanks. His smile quickly vanished as he looked up into the face of a Russian soldier jumping into his part of the trench. He raised his rifle in time to block the Russian's vicious attack, their rifles clacked together, both of them exerting a strenuous amount of force, and both knowing whoever lost grip first would die. The Other Side part 2The Other Side part 2 By the time Heinrich and the corporal made it to the trenches, the fire had already started. Russian artillery had started hitting the city, not just a single shell hitting sporadically but a barrage, areas would be turned to nothing more than ash, death and fire. In the trench it seemed peaceful. A rifleman looked out of the trench. "Here they come!" He yelled. A rifle cracked and he fell back. "Sniper!" Another soldier yelled. "Was that one of Vassili's?" Another one asked panicked. "No he just got hit in the shoulder, ill get a medic." Some one said as he ran down the trench. Heinrich poked his head out of the tThe Other Side part 2
